The Peace III Intergenerational Project
The Peace III Intergenerational Project seeks to promote peace and reconciliation by bringing together older and younger people from Catholic, Protestant and Ethnic Minority communities in a series of positive intergenerational media activities which tackle sectarianism and racism and challenge dissenting voices.
The outcomes of this project are: increased level of contact with other communities; improved attitude towards others from different communities; improved levels of trust and tolerance across generations; increased resilience to resist peer pressure/adult pressure to be involved in sectarianism/racism and younger and older people are better able to understand the value of cross-community/intergenerational work.
Taking part in the Peace III Galliagh project were young people from The Off the Streets Community Youth Initiative and Galliagh Development Trust. Young people completed podcasts, print stories and creative photography pieces.
